Differences Between XCMG 35‑ton Truck‑Mounted Cranes of Euro 4 and Euro 5 Standards

- Regulatory Equivalence
China National-IV is formulated against Euro IV, and China National-V is compiled based on Euro V. Their emission limits are roughly equivalent. Ukrainian customs and local inspection authorities recognize this equivalent conversion, which is directly accepted for customs clearance of used truck-mounted cranes.
- Difference in Electronic Control Logic (no impact on customs clearance access)
- Euro 4 (2015 version): Looser ECU programming for urea injection, high OBD fault tolerance. Power will not be locked immediately under urea shortage or poor fuel quality, suitable for operating conditions with unstable material supply in Ukraine.
- Euro 5 (2018 version): Strict OBD monitoring for urea level and injection accuracy. Torque will be restricted promptly once non-compliance occurs. It requires consistent high-quality urea supply.
- Chassis Configuration Difference
- Euro 4 version: 4-axle chassis, better axle-load distribution, superior performance for heavy-load driving and rough-road conditions 4-axle chassis
- Euro 5 version: 3-axle chassis, lighter curb weight and smaller turning radius yet smaller axle-load margin under heavy loads. axle chassis
